Bing is a small share of searches, but its index reaches further than its own search box: Microsoft Copilot searches with Bing, DuckDuckGo's and Yahoo's results largely come from it, and OpenAI names Bing among the search providers behind ChatGPT search. - Sign in with Microsoft in a popup and pick your site from Bing Webmaster Tools. Access is read-only (webmaster.read), and Bing returns about six months of history, so the first run has a baseline.
- Each day it compares the pages in Bing's index with the weeks before, and the crawl counters with the site's normal: a sustained spike of server errors, pages flagged as malware or an important page blocked by robots.txt is a problem; DNS failures, timeouts and robots blocks are flagged for review.
- It checks your sitemaps (errors, one Bing stopped reading, an old http:// copy still listed), lists the URLs Bing had trouble crawling, worst first, and names what changed on the site before a drop.
Does ChatGPT use Bing?
OpenAI's documentation names Bing among the search providers ChatGPT search uses, alongside its own crawler, OAI-SearchBot. It isn't the only source, so being in Bing's index gives ChatGPT one more way to find your pages — not a guarantee.
Is it read-only?
Yes. Relvato asks for the webmaster.read permission only. Disconnecting deletes Relvato's copy of your numbers; to remove its access at Microsoft too, open Bing Webmaster Tools → Settings → API access.

Does it show Copilot citations?
Not yet. Bing's AI Performance report is in its dashboard only, and the Webmaster API doesn't expose it. Relvato will add it when Bing does.
