Google Search Console monitoring that tells you the week traffic drops — and why.
Connect Search Console once, read-only, and Relvato reads your site's numbers every day: clicks and impressions by device, country and search type, the pages that show in Google, your key pages' index status, rich results and sitemaps. It compares each with your site's own usual and, when something drops, lists what changed on the site just before.
- ✓Clicks and impressions against your own usual — by device, country and search type
- ✓Pages that show in Google, and your key pages' index status
- ✓Rich results such as product snippets and review stars, and their errors
- ✓The pages and queries that lost the most ground
- ✓Sitemap errors, and sitemaps that lost URLs or stopped being read
- ✓What changed on the site just before a drop
Search Console has the data, but nobody reads it every day — and a drop you notice a month later has already cost a month of traffic. Most of the drops you can fix are self-inflicted: a noindex that shipped with a theme update, a robots.txt rule meant for staging, a sitemap plugin that stopped listing products. Relvato ties the drop to the change, and SEO integrity watches the settings behind it on every update. More on why this matters now: why SEO regression monitoring matters.
Why most search drops are self-inflicted, how to catch them the day they happen, and why Bing matters more now — read our guide to SEO regression monitoring.
- Sign in with Google in a popup and pick the property that is your site. Access is read-only (webmasters.readonly), and the first run reads up to 16 months of history, so there's a baseline on day one.
- Each day it compares the last 7 days with the same days of the 4 weeks before — weekends against weekends — on Google's final data. A drop has to hold two days running, and a small site is judged on impressions rather than a handful of clicks.
- It inspects your home, shop, category and product pages and your most-clicked pages with Google's URL Inspection, flags a page that left the index, a noindex, a different canonical or a lost rich result, and lists the updates, deploys and SEO findings from the week before a drop.
Is it read-only?
Yes. Relvato asks Google for the webmasters.readonly permission only, so it can't change anything in Search Console. You can disconnect at any time, and the numbers Relvato stored are deleted.
Are AI Overviews and AI Mode included?
Google counts AI Overviews and AI Mode inside Search Console's web totals, so they're in the clicks and impressions Relvato watches. Google's separate Generative AI report isn't available through its API yet.
What if the drop is a Google core update?
Relvato still reports it, and lists what changed on your site before it. No change on your side points to the update; a noindex or a plugin update the day before points to your site.
Why isn't today's data there?
Google's numbers are final 2–3 days later. Relvato judges only complete days, and every number says which day it's as of.
