Maintenance-mode monitoring — never leave a ‘coming soon’ wall up by accident.
Relvato visits your homepage as an anonymous visitor and fails if it hits a maintenance or coming-soon screen — the classic aftermath of a stuck WordPress update or a forgotten toggle.
- ✓The homepage renders real content to anonymous visitors
- ✓No maintenance or coming-soon wall
- ✓No ‘briefly unavailable for scheduled maintenance’ notice
- ✓Not stuck in WordPress update mode
A maintenance wall left up after an update is invisible to you — admins are exempt — but it blocks every customer and every crawler. Relvato checks logged-out, so you find out in a minute instead of from a drop in sales.
On WordPress, if an interrupted update left the site stuck on “Briefly unavailable for scheduled maintenance”, Relvato suggests deleting the leftover .maintenance file, and you apply it with one click in WordPress → Relvato. If the wall comes from a maintenance plugin — WP Maintenance Mode or SeedProd — Relvato suggests switching that plugin's page off, and Undo switches it back on exactly as it was.
- Requests the homepage logged-out, exactly as an anonymous visitor or crawler would see it.
- Flags a WordPress maintenance screen, a coming-soon plugin wall, or a 503 ‘scheduled maintenance’ notice.
- Because admins are exempt from these walls, it catches what you can’t see while you’re logged in.
Why wouldn’t I notice this myself?
Admins are usually exempt from the wall, so the site looks fine while you’re logged in. Relvato checks as an anonymous visitor.
Does it need a plugin?
No — it works on any site with a verified domain.
