WordPress fatal error monitoring, including the ones no page shows.
Relvato records PHP fatal errors and emails WordPress failed to send, inside your site, wherever they happen, and tells you which plugin is responsible within a minute.
- ✓PHP fatal errors anywhere: pages, wp-admin, AJAX, WP-Cron and REST requests
- ✓The plugin or theme responsible, even when the crash happens inside WordPress's own code
- ✓Emails WordPress failed to send, with the plugin and hook that sent them
- ✓Plugins and themes WordPress paused after a crash (recovery mode)
- ✓Reported within a minute of a new failure, with a daily look as a safety net
- ✓Never sent: email subjects, bodies or recipient addresses, only their domains
Most failures never reach a page a visitor or a monitor can see. A fatal in a scheduled task stops renewals; a crash in an AJAX call breaks the cart quietly; an order email fails because the mail setup changed. The only record is a server log nobody reads, or a recovery-mode email sent to an address nobody watches.
- The plugin hooks into WordPress's own fatal-error handler and its failed-email hook, so it catches failures in wp-admin, AJAX, scheduled tasks and the REST API.
- Each failure is recorded once with a count, named after the plugin or theme it came from, and reported to Relvato within a minute.
- Relvato raises one finding per failure, and also flags any plugin WordPress has paused after a crash.
How is this different from the error scan?
The error scan looks at your key pages for visible errors, like a visitor would. This records failures inside WordPress itself, including the ones no page ever shows: scheduled tasks, AJAX calls, wp-admin and emails.
Does it need the plugin?
Yes. Fatal errors and failed emails can only be seen from inside WordPress, by the Relvato plugin (1.37.0 or later).
Will a crash on every page flood me with alerts?
No. The same failure is recorded once with a count, Relvato hears about it at most once an hour, and you can ignore a finding you already know about.
