Discord website monitoring alerts

When a monitor finds a problem — a broken checkout, a failing login, a site that's down — Relvato posts it to the Discord channel your team already watches. The error, what set it off and a link to the run, in one embed.

Discord alerts are on every paid plan (Pro, Business and Agency). The button takes you to Alert settings, where you paste the channel's webhook URL.

What lands in your channel: an embed with the failure itself, its title linked to the run. The name and picture are the ones you give the webhook; the site here is an example.
Set up

Connected in under a minute

No bot to invite and no permissions to grant: a channel webhook is enough.

01

Make a webhook in Discord

Open Server Settings → Integrations → Webhooks and click New Webhook. Pick the channel, rename it if you like, and click Copy Webhook URL.

02

Paste it into Relvato

Open Alert settings. In “Teams, Discord, Telegram & other chat apps”, pick Discord, give it a name such as #site-alerts, paste the URL and click Add.

03

Send a test

Click Send test and watch the embed arrive. From then on, the problems your monitors find post to that channel as they happen.

Creating a webhook needs the Manage Webhooks permission on the server. Its URL starts with https://discord.com/api/webhooks/.

Permissions

It can post to one channel. That's all.

A Discord webhook belongs to one channel and can only post there. Relvato never joins your server as a bot.

What Relvato can do

  • Post alerts to the channel the webhook belongs to
  • Include the site, the monitor, the error, its severity and what triggered the run, colour-coded, with the title linked to the run
  • Stop at once when you switch it off or remove it in Alert settings, or delete the webhook in Discord

What it can't

  • Read messages, in that channel or any other
  • See your server's channels, roles or members
  • Ping anyone — mentions are disabled, so an error that quotes @everyone or @here notifies nobody
  • Show you the URL again — it's stored encrypted, and Alert settings shows only its name and host
How it behaves

Only the alerts worth an interruption

Colour-coded at a glance

Red when a monitor finds a problem, amber when it couldn't run, green when a site is back up. The embed's title links straight to the run.

Your switches and threshold

Under What goes where, the Chat apps column has a switch per monitor type, from Uptime to Legal compliance. Muted sites stay quiet, and the “Alert me on” level applies.

It says when a monitor couldn't run

If a firewall blocked Relvato, the embed reads “🚧 Checkout couldn't run on My Shop — Cloudflare blocked Relvato” instead of claiming a working checkout broke.

It tells you when Discord stops answering

After 20 failed deliveries in a row — say, someone deleted the webhook — Relvato pauses that chat app and says so in the notification bell. One click resumes it.

FAQ

Discord alerts, answered

Which plans include Discord alerts?

Pro, Business and Agency. On Free, alerts show in the app and by email once a month, and every plan shows failures in the dashboard.

Will an alert ping @everyone?

No. Relvato sends every message with mentions disabled, so even an error that contains @everyone, @here or a role mention notifies nobody.

Can Relvato read my server?

No. A webhook can only post into its own channel. Relvato can't read messages, see members or join the server.

What does Relvato post besides monitor failures?

Uptime going down and coming back up, heartbeats, port monitors and Quarantine mode. Every message carries the headline, the error, its severity, what triggered the run and a link to it. Screenshots stay in Relvato, behind that link.

Can I post to more than one channel?

Yes. Make a webhook in each channel and add each URL in Alert settings — up to 10 chat apps per account, across Discord, Teams, Google Chat and Slack-compatible servers such as Mattermost. Each one has its own on/off switch.

How is the URL kept safe?

Anyone with the URL can post to your channel, so Relvato treats it like a password: it's stored encrypted and never shown again. Relvato only posts to Discord's own host over https, checks the address is public before every send, and never follows a redirect.

Put your site's failures in the channel your team already watches

Add Discord in Alert settings and send a test. If a monitor finds a problem tonight, it's waiting in the channel tomorrow.
